Common Problems Your Dryer May Be Experiencing

Many of the problems you may experience with your dryer are easy to diagnose and can be even easier to fix. You can always call us to help you out. We understand the value of your time and money and want to work with you! Below are some common problems dryers experience and what you can do about them, although if you feel uncomfortable or do not have the correct tools, do not attempt to fix these things by yourself. If you don’t know what you are doing, you could get hurt or damage your machine even more.
There are a few common problems that can cause a variety of symptoms, so knowing where to look is a great place to start diagnostics. If you can’t safely get to these areas, make sure to call a trained service and repairman instead of trying to do it yourself.
A bad fuse can cause your dryer to have no heat or not even spin. Typically these are located in the back of the dryer and you will have to remove a panel to gain access to it. After that, if the fuse is bad, you will want to take the bad fuse into the store with you to make sure you bring home the correct replacement.
An old broken belt will keep your drum from spinning. All you need to do is purchase a new belt, line it up where you can see the markings on the drum from the previous belt and wind is around the motor pulley and idler pulley. If you don’t know what these things are, or are nervous about attempting to replace it, call in a service man.
This is something that you should be familiar with how to do, if not, you should learn. A dryer that is getting too hot because the vents are clogged can be very dangerous. Make sure you check and clean out the lint trap every time you run a load of laundry through your machine. You should also make a habit of checking the vent on the outside of the house regularly as well.
Never be worried about calling us if you are experiencing a problem with your dryer! It is worth knowing something is taken care of properly instead of trying to fix things yourself if you aren’t sure about what you are doing. We are happy to help and our service and repairmen are friendly and professional.
